InvitISE

Your Next Role.
Done Properly.

We work with professionals at all levels across Technology, Cyber
Security, Finance, HR and Public Sector. Permanent, contract and
SOW. We don’t bulk-submit CVs. We represent you properly and
only put you forward for roles that are a genuine fit.

How We Work With You

We’re selective about who we represent, which means the clients we
introduce you to are genuinely relevant, and the process is handled
with care.

Permanent Roles

Proven permanent positions across our nine practice areas. We give you a proper briefing on the role and the business, manage your interviews end-to-end, and negotiate your offer on your behalf.

Contract Placements

Day rate contract roles from short sprints to multi-year programmes. IR35 status clearly stated on every role. We work with your preferred engagement model, PAYE, umbrella or Ltd company.

Project & SOW Roles

We also place specialists into fixed-price, outcome-based engagements where you join a defined project team rather than working as a standalone contractor. Typically longer engagements with a clear deliverable. Day rates and project fees vary by scope.

Cyber Security Specialists

Our fastest-growing practice. If you work in Cyber Security, in any of the disciplines below, we’d like to hear from you. Contracts from £300 to £1,500 per day. Permanent placements and SOW team delivery also available.

Interview Preparation Tips

A few things that make a real difference when you’re preparing for interviews through InvitISE.

Know the Brief

Re-read the job brief we sent you before every interview stage. Understand what the client is actually trying to solve, not just the job title. Tailor your examples to their specific situation.

Research the Organisation

Spend time on their website, LinkedIn and any recent news. Know their sector, their size, what they do and any recent developments. Hiring managers notice when candidates have done their homework.

Use the STAR Method

Structure your examples clearly: Situation, Task, Action, Result. It keeps your answers focused and makes it easy for the interviewer to follow. Prepare four or five strong examples you can adapt across different questions.

Prepare Good Questions

Have three or four genuine questions ready. Ask about the team, the challenges of the role, what success looks like in the first six months. Avoid asking about salary or benefits at first interview unless the client raises it.

Talk to Us First

Always speak to your InvitISE consultant before any interview. We can share what the client is particularly focused on, flag any areas to address, and help you prepare for the format. Whether that's a competency panel, technical assessment or informal first call.

After the Interview

Call or message us as soon as you're done. Share your honest view of how it went, what felt strong, what you'd change. We use this to manage feedback with the client and keep the process moving quickly on your behalf.

IR35 Guidance

Understanding your IR35 status matters before you take a contract role. Here is what you need to know, and how we
handle it on every placement.

What is IR35?

IR35 (formally the off-payroll working rules) determines whether HMRC considers you an employee for tax purposes when working through a limited company. If a role is deemed inside IR35, income tax and National Insurance are deducted at source. If outside IR35, you operate as a genuine business and manage your own tax through your limited company.

Who decides your status?

For public sector and medium/large private sector clients, the end client is legally responsible for making the IR35 status determination. They issue a Status Determination Statement (SDS) which InvitISE passes to you before you accept a role. For small private sector clients, you (via your limited company) may still be responsible for self-assessment.

Engagement model Tax & NI IR35 status Best suited to
Limited company (PSC) Managed by you via self-assessment Outside IR35 only Contractors with genuine business independence
Umbrella company PAYE deducted at source by umbrella Inside IR35 Most inside IR35 public/private sector roles

Our commitment to you

Every contract role we share with you states the IR35 status clearly. We will never put you forward for a role where the determination is unclear or missing. You always know your status before interview.

Umbrella providers

If your role is inside IR35, we work with compliant umbrella providers. We have an approved list of vetted SafeREC & FCSA Accredited umbrella providers for you to choose from.

Get advice

IR35 is complex. We recommend speaking to an accountant or specialist contractor tax adviser before accepting a role if you are unsure about your position. HMRC’s CEST tool can also help you check your status. We partner with QDOS, who has a proven track record in IR35 guidance.

Talk to your InvitISE consultant before accepting any contract. We will walk you through the SDS and your options.

CV Guidance

Your CV is often the first impression a client gets of you. Here’s what works, and what to avoid.

Keep It Focused

Two to three pages is the right length for most roles. Lead with a short, punchy professional summary, three or four lines that tell the reader who you are and what you bring. Don't bury it.

Lead With Impact

For each role, describe what you achieved, not just what you were responsible for. Numbers help: team size, budgets managed, delivery timelines, improvements made. Responsibilities tell a story; achievements sell you.

Tailor It

A generic CV rarely works as well as a tailored one. When we put you forward for a specific role, it's worth spending 20 minutes adjusting your summary and the order of your experience to match what the client is looking for.

Format Matters

Clean, simple formatting. Readable font, consistent spacing, no tables or text boxes if you can avoid them, they break in some applicant tracking systems. Send as a Word document unless we ask for PDF.

Cover Gaps Honestly

Career gaps are not a problem if you explain them briefly. A line is enough. Clients understand redundancy, illness, caring responsibilities, travel or a deliberate career pause. What they don't like is unexplained white space.

Want a Review?
