Security Architecture & SOC capability placed mid-transformation for a county council
The challenge
A large county council was midway through one of the most ambitious technology transformation programmes in UK local government – Azure cloud migration, SDWAN/SASE network modernisation and M365 rollout. Specialist security resource needed fast, without lengthy procurement delays.
What we delivered
A Security Architect leading enterprise-wide security architecture across the full programme – covering cloud migration, network modernisation and ISO 27001 alignment. Alongside a Security Operations Manager who built the council's monitoring and incident response capability, integrated a third-party SIEM vendor, and drove the move to Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Outcome
Both placements delivered on time. Security Operations Manager embedded into the Technology Services leadership team and led the Cyber Essentials Plus certification programme.
Security Infrastructure Engineer placed at short notice, Greater Manchester
The challenge
A financial services firm in Greater Manchester needed an experienced Security Infrastructure Engineer at short notice – someone who could operate across a hybrid Windows and AWS environment, manage firewalls and endpoint security, and work without hand-holding from day one. A specialist skill set that generalist firms consistently struggle to fill.
What we delivered
A Security Infrastructure Engineer on a 3-month contract, covering the full stack – Windows Server, Active Directory, AWS, firewalls, Office 365 and endpoint security. On-site within days of brief.

6 Field Engineers deployed across London after attrition hit a managed service provider
The challenge
A London-based MSP had suffered a wave of attrition across their field engineering team, leaving them exposed across their asset management and financial services client base. Customer-facing roles with no margin for downtime.

6 Field Engineers across London, deployed on-site at asset management and financial services organisations. Each brought solid hands-on skills across the Microsoft stack, M365 and security – the combination needed to operate confidently in regulated, client-facing environments.

All 6 positions filled. Attrition gap closed without service disruption to the MSP's client base.
Senior TechOps Engineer placed into a global financial intelligence business
The challenge
A global financial intelligence business with 500 staff across the UK, US and Asia needed a Senior TechOps Engineer who could operate across 1st to 3rd line support while owning infrastructure projects and driving automation. Deep M365 expertise required across Defender, Intune and Sentinel, plus Okta, SentinelOne and Fortinet.
What we delivered
A Senior TechOps Engineer placed into the permanent team, matched to a fast-moving global FinTech with high standards and a clear technical roadmap.

Complete 8-person SOC built from scratch for a healthcare client

A major security consultancy had won a contract to build and embed a full SOC for a healthcare client from the ground up – sourcing and placing an entire team simultaneously across multiple disciplines.
